2.a. Romania document research: These documents consist of deeds, wills, naturalization & citizenship, marriage, birth, death, cemetery, church, civil, old archives (National Archives, pre 1900), new archives (Town or Village Hall, 1900 to present) military, passenger lists, passport, brevets, census, emigration etc.
2.b. East European document search (former Eastern Hungary, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Republic of Moldova, Transnistria): Research in birth, death, marriage, passport, military, church, emigration, etc.
2.c. Genealogist specializing in inheritances: The genealogist specializing in inheritances will employ all the investigation methods at his disposal in order to: probe legitimate heirs, legatee or beneficiary of life insurance known or departed; verify uncertain inheritance devolutions; justify the rights of the heirs found for inheritances in abeyance; represent the heirs found, at the time of the settlement of the inheritance.
2.d. Historical Romania tour arrangements: We can also organize fact finding tours to your ancestral home with an English or French speaking tour guide and a car. Along with your documentation we may also provide you with periodic accounts on particular issues such as the time spent, record sources & associated fees.
2.e. Translation services: Translating documents from Romanian, Russian, German, Cyrillic & Latin to English and French. Also translating personal letters from Romanian to English and French & English and French to Romanian.
3. Costs and Fees:
The service costs and fees have to be established by common consent following a complete account of the client's needs and an estimate quoted by ourselves. The fees depend on whether partial or full research is necessary, initial data, requirements, range of the period of research, which community records need to be examined, and whether the research will be undertaken abroad (Ukraine, Republic of Moldova, Transnistria) or in Romania. We reserve the right to revise our fees upon giving reasonable advance notice.
4. Contract:
Upon signing the quote given, the service contract becomes effective. By filling in the Order Form you confirm your acknowledgement and agreement to our terms of service.
5. Payment:
Our invoices may be settled by cash, check bank, money transfer or credit card.
6. Inception of service:
We begin operating the agreed services on condition of deposit payment. After receiving the deposit we begin required research. The expected duration of research performance is indicated in our quote provided in advance.
7. Cancellation:
Orders may be cancelled without financial consequences prior to advance payment following a maximum of the ten working days of signing. If such cancellation takes place after deposit payment, a written cancellation is required. In such a case we reserve the right to charge all the expenses incurred up to the cancellation.
8. Complaints:
After we have delivered the service, clients are welcome to comment upon it. We reserve the right to consider the validity of possible considerations of deficient research results. As genealogical research is carried out by means of the investigation of old documents, success cannot be guaranteed in every case. In the event of an authentic complaint, we will compensate for any deficiency.
9. Information treatment:
We will preserve the strict confidentiality of all our clients' personal details and research information revealed. No information will be disclosed to third parties without our clients prior written consent, unless so required by law.
