Viseu de Sus Jewish Cemetery. Viseu de Sus (Viso) is located in Maramures county, north-west of Romania. Here there was a big jewish community. There is a big cemetery (around 1600 tombstones) located near by Tziptzer District on the right bank of the Vaser River (tributary of Viseu) just up on the district. If you take the little train on the Vaser Valley (a gorgeous wild vally) as a day tour and if yoy are in the train staion just in front you can see the cemetery. There was a sinangouge too but was destroied during the comunist period. We visited this cemetery and took pictures to each tomb and we make a CD ROM with Viseu Jewish Cemetery plus all the information (address, who is in charge with it, sections and grave numbers, GPS location, aso).
